RESOLUTION

III St. Petersburg International Congress of Conflict Resolutions

"Conflictology of the XXI century: ways and means of strengthening peace"

November 15-16, 2019

For more than 100 years since the inception of the main conflictological ideas in the works of G. Simmel, they have gone through a difficult path of evolution. The level of institutionalization of modern conflictological knowledge, the range of operating the conflictological paradigm of the socio-philosophical analysis of reality, the completeness and instrumentality of the cognitive means available to it, testifies that conflictology has taken place as an independent area of scientific knowledge. The relevance of the cognitive resources of conflict management especially increases in the context of the high dynamics of social processes characteristic of the era of globalization. A fundamentally important basis for the stability of conflict management as a science is the establishment of basic educational programs in conflict management in university professional education.

Taking into account the foregoing, We, the participants of the III St. Petersburg International Congress of Conflict Experts, having heard and discussed the main reports of the Plenary session of the Congress, consider it timely and important to summarize certain results of our work and formulate a range of scientific, educational and organizational tasks facing society and bodies public administration, and before the conflictological community for the coming period:

  1. Conflict experts of Russia do everything possible to promote the maximum objectivity and concreteness of conflictological studies of the logic and laws of modern social processes from the standpoint of the conflictological paradigm.

  2. Constantly keep in the field of view of scientific analysis the conflictological tools of knowledge, improve and develop the conceptual apparatus of science, its methodology, principles and methods of diagnostics, forecasting, management of social conflicts, maintenance of peace and security. The journal "Conflictology" is called upon to really contribute to the effectiveness of the directions of scientific and practical activities of conflictologists.

  3. To consider it fundamentally important to preserve and develop professional conflictological education at all levels of training (bachelor's, master's, postgraduate education), as conditions for adapting the country's educational system to the requirements of the time and social needs.

  4. Take organizational steps to further strengthen and develop conflict management education in higher education. To this end, propose to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation to remove from the enlarged group the areas of training 37.00.00 Psychological sciences, the direction of training 37.03.02 and 37.04.02 (bachelor's and master's degrees) Conflictology into an interdisciplinary enlarged group of training areas
